Privacy Notice

The purpose of the extension is to enable admins to streamline surfacing the data, and provide a simple end user driven way to collate into their own organisation's managed datastore. Consider this as a kick-starter or facilitator capability

The extension itself does not relay any of the information it surfaces to anywhere remote, or off device, or to any other service!

The extension uses standard Chrome Platform APIs to locally gather the following data points:

• User Information - email, directory ID

• Platform Information - OS & Architecture

• Device Attributes - Serial Number, Directory ID (only available on Google managed devices)

• Network Attributes - MAC Address (only available on Google managed devices)

• HW Information - Make & Model

• CPU Information - Name, #Cores

• RAM Information - Capacity

• HDD Information - Capacity

• Display Information - #, Size, Touch, Internal/Attached

The source code of the published version of the extension can be found here (also linked in the Deployment Guide), shared as is as open source code and without warranty or support. Anyone can use the published extension as-in, or capitalise on the source code if interested in building it further for themselves (ie: automate collation of data into a central store, without the users engagement with Google Forms), or to deploy in a more controlled manner (ie: own the deployed codebase, publish privately, rebranding).
